The park is beautiful and the air is so fresh and I was so comfortable. It really gave me a very peaceful mind. It is a beautiful place to go to take your family.
Great Place to unwind. I have been going here for 30+ years. Great for fishing, Great for paddling and great for the history of the place. Trails are always nice. Great place to get persimmons. You can really escape your busy stressful lives out here walking the trails or fishing for bass in the lakes., Mushroom hunting in the spring is also nice here. Not been as many in recent years but they can still be found here.
Interesting museum and nature center. Loved the bird viewing area. Great location to stretch your legs after driving all day.
This is a remote place for quiet refuge, bird watching, hiking, and fishing. As an under-used (read, not crowded) resource, that few locals use, enjoy the quiet solitude that you really can't find in crowded State Parks. Avoid visiting during the hunting season in the fall.
Beautiful place to just take in the fresh air and clear the mind of the normal hussle and bussle love this place.
