I would like to say that I am very disappointed in the staff and service at the Seymour, Indiana Steak ‘n Shake. When I came to the restaurant, I brought a cup of coffee from Starbucks, but my two friends wanted to have milkshakes. After I sat at the table, the manager came to our table with a less than polite attitude and told us we “cannot have outside drinks” inside the establishment. This made me upset, because I then had to go outside, while my friends were inside, and I had to finish my iced coffee in the 40° weather. Then one of my friends decided they didn’t want anything anymore, so one of them ordered a milkshake. It took them 50 minutes to tell us that the cook had deleted her order, and they were going to put it back on the order. We waited another five minutes while six employees sat around and talked to each other. This was the worst service I have ever experienced from a Steak ‘n Shake, and I will never go back.
The food all came out correct. It was fresh. The waitress did a great job keeping us happy but let us have time to eat. I only gave 4 stars because the bathroom wasn't real clean there wasn't any paper towels or any other means of drying my hands.
They have a new sandwich out very good was a enjoyable experience at a very modest price easy to spot I like their gift card options also
Stopped here on my way back to Bedford from Cincinnati. I was very disappointed. All of my food was cold by the time I got it. The family sitting next to us also complained about cold food, but the waitress said that there was nothing that she could do about it. Later on, she started giving us dirty looks for complaining about our food. All McDonald's restaurants are better than this particular Steak 'n Shake.
I would like to review the actual quality of the food at this location, but I can't since I was never able to be served. My group arrived and was seated, but it then took over 20 minutes for a server to arrive and inform us that it would take 40 minutes for food to arrive. Once we found that out we promptly left. If I was told before we were seated that it would take 40 minutes then it wouldn't have been a problem. I would recommend you save yourself the trouble and skip this Steak n' Shake location.
